Welcome to Bible Basics Layers of Understanding!
Bible Basics Layers of Understanding: Written by people who love God, Written for all people seeking God, and wanting a closer relationship with God.
Bible Basics Layers of Understanding is a non-denominational Bible Study written by lay-people, regular, ordinary, average, imperfect people – just like you! Written for ALL people: for unbelievers, for people who are looking for something larger than themselves to believe in; a "Faith" that YOU can
Believe in.(I)
Special Note 9/11/2010:
Bible Basics… Layers of Understanding is a website about a Loving, Kind, Gentle, and Patient God. A God of Love, Mercy, Forgiveness, and Grace. A God of many 2nd chances!
A loving God that is always patiently waiting for your return; A God that loves you no matter what! And there’s nothing you can do about it!
If you’re looking for an angry, judgmental, vindictive, condemning god; you will have to go to a self-righteous judgmental website!
At Bible Basics… Layers of Understanding I have always wanted this website to be a nonpolitical safe place for everyone! But after the Christian bigotry and hate of wanting to burn the Quran;
I felt compelled to add this special note!
Bible Basics is for atheist, non-believers, the Unchurched, those searching for the truth, and people of all faiths! This website is for everyone regardless of race, creed, sexual orientation, nationality, or political affiliation!
Bible Basics… Layers of Understanding is for ALL of God’s people! This website is NOT a private club for Christians Only! God’s Love, God’s Message is for Everyone! God’s love is inclusive; not exclusive!
Christianity is NOT a private club for members only! God’s love is for everyone! This website is NOT exclusive to just Christians but also speaks to people of all faiths; Muslims as well as Jews!
The basis of Bible Basics is this:
The entire law is summed up in a single command:
"Love your neighbor as yourself.”
Galatians 5:14
And we show this love for our neighbor by serving the poor, feeding the hungry, healing the sick, and fighting HATE, injustice, lies, and bigotry wherever we find them. And I hate to admit it but we can find hate, injustice, and bigotry even in our churches today!
Bible Basics does NOT tell you what to think; but to challenges you to think! Christianity is not about believing in all of right things or knowing all of the right answers; Christianity is also about, ”Asking the right questions!”
The goal of Bible Basics is to bring ALL people to a closer relationship with God
and to inspire you to do good in words and in deeds.
If the Bible seems to you to be confusing and/or irrelevant to your to your life… Bible Basics takes a “Closer Look” at the Bible to help you to unravel the “meanings” of Scripture.
If you have gone to church all of your life; you are blessed. Bible Basics Class is an opportunity to review, renew, reaffirm, and share your faith. From the new seeker to the studious disciple, Bible Basics is a challenging study guide for everyone!
Bible Basics Layers of Understanding has the notion that if you think, “you have found it” you stop looking! At Bible Basics we recognize that we are always missing some of the meanings to scripture – those Layers of Understanding (PDF file) have to be peeled away.
Bible Basics Layers of Understanding is a closeness with God. Bible Basics helps to peel away the veils of confusion; to open our eyes, ears, hearts, and minds so we recognize God’s miracles in our everyday lives!
We are truly thankful to have you here. God IS working in your life! Please share with us the Love and Joy of being a servant, disciple, and follower of Jesus Christ. To get started, just click on

This "New Paradigm for God's Justice" BLOG is not a soft cozy place to be comfortable! This "New Paradigm for God's Justice" BLOG is to purposely make us uncomfortable; to challenge our Faith, to challenge our thinking, to encourage us to walk into deeper waters, to get out of our cozy "comfort zone," and "to do something!"
We are NOT called to be complacent, lethargic, luke-warm Christians! We are called to go out into the world, to "tell the 'Good News' of Jesus Christ," to make a difference! God does NOT place people in our paths for us to ignore and to walk-around like they do not exist. God puts people in our lives for a purpose!
This "New Paradigm for God's Justice" BLOG is NOT going to be politically correct! In many respects you may disagree with what I am saying (no problem)... I am NOT trying to tell you what to think... but I am trying to make you think... to challenge your thinking. Sometimes we need to be able to defend our beliefs,
(even if we only need to defend our beliefs to ourselves), to review, renew, and to reaffirm our beliefs.
