We do not have to die
To arrive at the gates of Heaven.
In fact, we have to be truly alive.
The practice is to touch life deeply
So that the Kingdom of God becomes a reality.
This is not a matter of devotion.
It is a matter of practice.
The Kingdom of God is available

- Thich Nhat Hahn

This chapter “Salvation is NOW!” has been greatly influenced and inspired by Rev. Jack Soper, Senior Pastor of Arapaho United Methodist Church in Richardson, Texas. Rev. Soper does not tell you “what to think” but he challenges us all “to think” and then you have to wrestle with it and come to your own conclusions. He reminds us that we are all theologians!

Salvation is Now!

Salvation is NOT just something we are waiting for after death. Salvation is much more than that! Yes, salvation is waiting for us after death; Jesus has prepared a room for us.

What is Salvation?

Salvation is being Saved by the Grace of God. Jesus Christ is our Savior. Salvation is being in a right relationship with God – Today! – Right NOW! Salvation is about living life to the fullest NOW!

How do we have a right relationship with God?

First through God’s Prevenient Grace which surrounds all of us all of the time, wooing us, encouraging us, enticing us to come to Him. All we have to do is accept this free gift of God’s Love, Forgiveness, and Grace when we sincerely repent of our sins, turn from sin and turn to God, and to go from darkness into the Light of God’s Love.

You are as close to God as you choose to be!

Like any relationship it will have its ups and downs. Like any relationship you have to work at it to have a good relationship.

Sin Separates Us From God!

Sin and Guilt separate us from God. That is why we reject sin, turn from our sinful ways, and try to live a Christ-like life; a life following Christ, centered in Christ, where Christ is our moral compass, guiding and directing our life in Faith, words, and deeds.

This does not mean that we are perfect! We are all a “work in progress.” God is continuously molding us and shaping us into a New Creation! Through Jesus Christ we are Reborn!

Guilt also Separates Us From God!

Guilt also separates us from God! Just like when Adam and Eve ate from the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil, against God’s will; Adam and Eve hid from God. They were afraid and they hid from God. We do the very same thing when we sin and feel guilt; we hide from God. There are always consequences to sin but the beauty of it all is God’s Love, Grace, and Forgiveness.

God does not want us hiding from Him!

God wants to be involved in everything we do; the good times and the bad times. This is a Relationship!

Again all relationships are strained at one time or another but God always offers us Love, Forgiveness, and Grace. God does NOT want “Guilt” coming between us.

God wants a close and loving relationship with us. When we sincerely ask God for Forgiveness, we are forgiven, and all of our sins are remembered by God no more.

Don’t let guilt, sins, and past mistakes
separate you from God!

Pray to God! Give it ALL to God; for God loves you dearly!

Passing the Buck!

After Adam and Eve ate from the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil, Adam blamed Eve; Eve blamed the serpent. Often we do not want to take responsibility for our own words, deeds, and actions.

We do not want to face the consequences of sin. We look at the tempting “Bait” but we are Blind to the “Hook” of sin.

Fear and doubts separate us from God.

We need to put our Hope, Faith, and Trust in God and lean not on our own understanding.

Adam and Eve hid from God because the were guilt-ridden, they were afraid, afraid of the consequences; afraid of retribution and punishment. But...

God is NOT a vengeful angry God!

God is not an angry judgmental god dealing out retribution and punishment! God is a Loving God!

There is no fear in love.
But perfect love drives out fear,
because fear has to do with punishment.
The one who fears is not made perfect in love.

1 John 4:18

What is the Nature of God?

To know the nature of God, the character of God, is found in Jesus Christ! What is God like? – JESUS CHRIST! To know Jesus Christ is to know God!

For God so loved the world
that he gave his one and only Son,
[that whoever believes in him shall not perish
but have eternal life.
For God did not send his Son into the world
to condemn the world,
but to save the world through him.

John 3:16-17

God Never Changes!

God never changes but our understanding of God evolves and grows as we have a closer and closer relationship with God.

Chains of the Past

You cannot live life to the fullest when you are chained and tied down with unforgiveness from the past. Forgiving someone is releasing yourself from bondage; freedom from the painful hurts of the past.
Love Never Fails!

God is always willing to meet you where you are… no matter how far you have wandered away from God. God is always watching for your return. God will run out to meet you as in the Prodigal Son.

New Paradigm for God’s Justice

This "New Paradigm for God's Justice" BLOG is not a soft cozy place to be comfortable! This "New Paradigm for God's Justice" BLOG is to purposely make us uncomfortable; to challenge our Faith, to challenge our thinking, to encourage us to walk into deeper waters, to get out of our cozy "comfort zone," and "to do something!"

We are NOT called to be complacent, lethargic, luke-warm Christians! We are called to go out into the world, to "tell the 'Good News' of Jesus Christ," to make a difference! God does NOT place people in our paths for us to ignore and to walk-around like they do not exist. God puts people in our lives for a purpose!

This "New Paradigm for God's Justice" BLOG is NOT going to be politically correct! In many respects you may disagree with what I am saying (no problem)... I am NOT trying to tell you what to think... but I am trying to make you think... to challenge your thinking. Sometimes we need to be able to defend our beliefs, (even if we only need to defend our beliefs to ourselves), to review, renew, and to reaffirm our beliefs.
